I've been drawing like mad lately...getting away from portraits, trying to draw out of my head. I have a lot of Ic pictures that I'll probably put in scraps...mostly I'm just proud of myself for being able to draw in that style at all.

Also, the loss of my sketchbook impeded the art for a bit, but it's back! Funny how things reveal themselves when you stop looking.

Most of this was done in high school, so..yeah, that explains that.

I've also become obsessed with my novel, Ashodel. Like, I'm writing a movie soundtrack on Finale. But I know it's not the most accessible story...I need serious help making things accessible to readers with a typical attention span. Right now I think I only reach people with infinite patience, in both fanfic and original writing.

In addition, I appear to be obsessed with India lately. My Eat, Pray, Love picture is not exactly a manifestation of my obsession, but it's certainly along the right track. Bollywood emits from my speakers lately. And my mouth. I think I'm learning Hindi.

So, that's me...just doing nothing until work starts in two weeks. School kind of disappeared on me. I don't object, and I like being able to write every day, even if it's only fanfic, but the lack of assignments makes me paranoid. I feel as though I'm forgetting some huge and terrible assignment. In fact, my exams are going to be easy as cake, and I have no looming projects. So I'm in this weird college limbo. Yep. I'm going to attempt to do something productive now.

I haven't drawn for a while again. Except yesterday during modern physics. I made a long line on my paper, which I made into the underside of a boat, and some sails were visible from beneath the water, and they looked like an eagle, so I drew an eagle above the ship, and then I realised they were a quarter of a circle, so I drew a dolphin below the ship to make a half circle...and then class was over. There is no way my prof didn't see me draw for fifteen minutes. There are five people in my class.

But anyway. Classes are going well. I don't suck at differential equations anymore. I'm even half decent with wibbly wobbly, timey wimey sorts of things in modern physics. Again, my favourite class this semester is my writing class, even though it's nonfiction. I think my memory is improving by taking the course, because it makes you remember lots of random things.

I wrote about a sleepover at Zim's the other day in class, because the prompt was "childhood games" or something like that, so I thought of that time we tried to play capture the flag. In darkening woods. I think I was wearing sandals. Good times.

I think I have the unfortunate habit of falling into groups that will always be best friends, but then they fall apart. I want friends, but I'm afraid of reaching out now. I know I'm not alone in being alone, though. I think a lot of people are. What a stupid world.

Well, this journal has gotten more emo than I intended. What I meant to say was that I'm almost done with my Billie Piper drawing, and I got a calligraphy pen art set for Christmas, so I might be experimenting with a storybook kind of style soon. You know, when I have time.

Also, I might post some of my papers from the nonfiction class, because it's awesome.
